How To Strikethrough Text in Google Docs (Two Ways)

Google Docs is an online word processor with powerful features for creating and editing documents. You can create content from any device with an Internet connection – and you can share your document with others, allowing them to suggest edits and make changes.

Strikethrough has emerged as a technique for suggesting a change in a document or indicating that a word or phrase should be deleted.

This sounds useful but what is strikethrough exactly, and why would you use it?

Strikethrough is a formatting attribute that displays a horizontal line through a word or phrase in your document (like this). Strikethrough doesn’t obscure the text underneath it, but it clearly communicates that a change is recommended.
