Delivery Options for Microsoft Project Training

There are two ways your team can learn Project. Choose the delivery option that works best for your group.

Online Project Training in Canada or the USA

Everyone on your team can learn Project, online with a live instructor using Microsoft Teams or Zoom.

Online training is available anywhere in Canada or the United States.

Onsite Project Training in Toronto and Ottawa

Our Microsoft Project courses can be delivered onsite, in your organization’s meeting room or training room.

Our service area for onsite training includes Toronto, Mississauga, and Ottawa.

Project Level 1

Training for Project 2016, 2019, and 365

2 day course – $625 per person plus HST. Minimum enrollment required.

Discounted pricing is available for groups of 6 or more, non-profit organizations, and Government of Canada employees.

Course Content

Getting Started with Microsoft Project

Understanding project management concepts, getting started, application and windows, Ribbon and tabs, creating and saving projects, opening and closing projects, changing the view, moving within a view, customizing the Quick Access Toolbar.

Project Creation

Understanding project default settings, understanding project information, creating task lists, entering task durations and milestones, outlining task lists, creating task dependencies, modifying task dependencies, reviewing the project.

Project Resources and Costs

Understanding project resources, resource assignment concepts, assigning resources, working with project calendars, working with resource calendars, working with task calendars, entering project costs.

Printing Schedule Information

Page setup options, previewing views and reports, printing project information, working with reports.

Changing Scheduling Methods

Resource assignment concepts, task type settings, changing task type settings, task constraints, identifying factors affecting tasks, defining the critical path, formatting the critical path.

Resolving Resource Conflicts

Preset contours, applying preset contours, editing resource assignments, resource overallocation, locating resource overallocation, resolving resource overallocation.

Tracking Project Progress

Saving the baseline, setting the status date, tracking task progress, updating tasks, updating the remaining schedule, comparing baseline and actual data.

Sorting, Filtering and Grouping
