Delivery Options for Microsoft Word Training
There are two ways your team can learn Word. Choose the delivery option that works best for your group.
Online Word Training in Canada or the USA
Everyone on your team can learn Word, online with a live instructor using Microsoft Teams or Zoom.
Online training is available anywhere in Canada or the United States.
Onsite Word Training in Toronto and Ottawa
Our Microsoft Word courses can be delivered onsite, in your organization’s meeting room or training room.
Our service area for onsite training includes Toronto, Mississauga, and Ottawa.
Word Level 1
Training for Word 2016, 2019, and 365
1 day course – $275 per person plus HST. Minimum enrollment required.
Discounted pricing is available for groups of 6 or more, non-profit organizations, and Government of Canada employees.
Course Content
Getting Started with Word
Understanding word processing concepts, getting started, creating and saving documents, opening documents.
Using Word Basics
Editing documents, printing and viewing documents.
Managing Text
Aligning text, moving, copying, and replacing text.
Modifying and Enhancing Text Appearance
Formatting text, special purpose text, Quick Styles and Quick Style Sets.
Modifying and Enhancing Paragraph Appearance
Using tabs, changing tab settings, setting indents, applying bullets and numbers, changing paragraph and line spacing.
Controlling Page Layout
Changing margins, inserting page breaks, using headers and footers.
Using Writing Tools
Checking spelling in a document, using AutoCorrect and AutoText, using document templates.
Word Level 2
Training for Word 2016, 2019, and 365
Prerequisite: Word Level 1
1 day course – $275 per person plus HST. Minimum enrollment required.

Using Mail Merge

Quick Parts overview, working with document properties, working with building blocks.
Working with Templates and Forms
Using templates, creating templates, working with forms.
Word Level 3

Working with Graphics
Inserting files and graphics, creating illustrations, adding charts, using themes.
Designing Page Layout
Working with sections, working with multiple columns, adding headers and footers.
Organizing Documents
Working with outlines, using the Navigation pane, creating tables of contents, creating indexes, working with references, sorting and calculating.
Revising Documents
Managing revisions, inserting comments, protecting documents, comparing / merging documents, managing document information.
Automating Actions
Creating macros, editing macros, running and deleting macros.
