Online Training with a Live Instructor

All of our courses can be delivered online with a live instructor. Online training sessions are similar to traditional “in-person” courses but the facilitator conducts the session remotely.

In an online training session, an instructor leads the course using Microsoft Teams or Zoom. With two-way video and screen sharing, the facilitator explains new concepts and demonstrates relevant tasks. Participants can apply new skills, review concepts, and ask questions in real time.

All courses come with:

  • Student manuals or quick reference cards
  • Practice files
  • 30 days of post-training support

Pricing for single day courses start at $275 / person plus HST. Discounted pricing available for groups of 6 or more. Minimum enrollment required. Consult our list of Microsoft Office courses for more information or contact us for a quote.

How are Online Training Sessions Scheduled?

We’ll work with you to determine which course(s) will best meet your organization’s learning requirements and schedule the training when it works best for your team.

Training can be delivered in two formats:

  1. Most courses can be delivered in a single day, typically running from 9:00am – 4:00pm with a 1-hour lunch break.
  2. Alternatively, courses can be delivered in half-day sessions that run from 9:00am – noon or 1:00pm – 4:00pm on separate days.

Participants can connect to the training session from any location with a stable internet connection. Everyone taking a course is able to engage with the instructor and other participants.

Is Online Training Effective?

There are several ways to learn Microsoft Office. Each format has advantages and disadvantages.

Here is how the different options stack up!

eLearning courses offer tremendous convenience. Participants are able to take training where and when they want to. eLearning courses typically consist of prerecorded videos and quizzes but if participants have questions – or want any interaction with the instructor – they’re limited to using message boards or forums.

In Person

While eLearning courses offer flexibility and convenience, traditional in-person training remains the preferred delivery method for many organizations. Our clients often tell us that interaction with the instructor and other participants help them gain a deeper understanding of the material being covered but, with more employees working remotely, meeting in person isn’t always possible.

Online Training with a Live Instructor

Online training is the best choice when employees work from home and meeting in person isn’t practical. Remote delivery with a live instructor combines the flexibility and convenience of an eLearning course with the interactivity and engagement of in-person training.
